Roles and Responsibilities

Below the roles and responsibilities are listed for the board members in accordance with the statutory rules and bylaws.

President

 


 
Statutory Representation:  In conjunction with the other Board members represent the Society.
Board Meetings:  In conjunction with the other Board members set the frequency of Board meetings.  Sign the minutes.
AGM: Chair the AGM.  Makes a judgment concerning the result of a vote.  Sign the minutes.  
Vice-PresidentStatutory Representation:  In conjunction with the other Board members represent the Society.
Conference:  Support the conference coordinator.
Proceedings:  Organize the preparation of the proceedings.
SecretaryGovernance:  Support the election of new control committee.  
Statutory Representation:  Manage registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.  In conjunction with the other Board members represent the Society.
Board Meetings:  Send invites and agenda (together with complementary explanation and documents when needed). Take minutes and obtain sign off by the President.
Conference committee meetings: alternating with Board meetings. Managed by local committee.
AGM:  Prepare and send the agenda for the AGM and take minutes. Have the minutes approved by the Board and signed by the President and Secretary.
Council Meetings:  Consult the Council coordinator. Together prepare the agenda for the Council meeting, take minutes and communicate them to the Council.
Conference:  Be a member of the conference management team.
Website: Update and manage the website content. Coordinate with conference management team. 
Communication: Manage ISTE Google Drive.
Proceedings: prepare proceedings foreword.
 
Vice-SecretaryStatutory Representation:  In conjunction with the other Board members represent the Society.
Member Register: Maintain a member register.
Contributors:  Maintain a register of names and addresses of contributors.
Communication: Prepare and issue the quarterly Newsletter. Manage ISTE LinkedIn group.  
Website: Support management of the website content. 
TreasurerStatutory Representation:  In conjunction with the other Board members represent the Society.
Finance: Support preparation of the financial statement.  Publish the financial statement on the website after agreement at the AGM. Manage bookkeeping, payments and outgoing invoices. Prepare and track yearly budget. Support control committee review.
Vice-TreasurerStatutory Representation:  In conjunction with the other Board members represent the Society.
Finance:  Support preparation of the financial statement.  Publish the financial statement on the website after agreement at the AGM.
Conference CoordinatorStatutory Representation:  In conjunction with the other Board members represent the Society.
Conference:  Review and monitor the conference organisation process.
