TE2021 has run from 5-9 July 2021. The conference organizer has been the University of Bath. Though still hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference can be called a success. We wish to thank the organizers and the technical staff for the smooth organization of the conference.
Some statistics:
One successful workshop has been held
One ‘meet the editor’ session has been held
Four highly interesting keynotes have been presented
58 papers including presentations could be visited on the conference website, while questions and answers could be posted
There have been 65 delegates
One best paper has been awarded
The virtual conference TE2020 will run from July 1 til July 10.
There are online and offline sessions.
Online sessions contain the keynotes, and the ISTE council meeting and AGM (Annual General Meeting). For a more detailed programme, please visit TE2020. There will be a chatroom for posing questions to keynote speakers. These questions will be answered as much as possible. When answering questions cannot be finished online, each keynote speaker will answer the questions offline.
Offline sessions contain the papers and video presentations of accepted and registered papers. There is a chat function to get in touch with the author(s) and start a lively discussion. Also, a workshop will be available.
The global outbreak of the Corona virus has caused major disruption in our lives, work and business. On behalf of the ISTE board I hope you and your family are safe and well.
In the last few months, the ISTE board and the local organising committee had intensive discussions about what to do with the 27thInternational Conference on Transdisciplinary Engineering (TE2020), scheduled for 6 – 10 July 2020 in Warsaw, under the present circumstances.
We have concluded that, in the interest of the health and safety of our members and the general community, TE2020 cannot go ahead in its face-to-face format. This is disappointing, but in our view the only responsible decision.
In the coming weeks we will review the feasibility of running the conference in virtual mode. We have a few ideas that we like to explore. The paper review process, currently underway for TE2020, will continue and authors will receive feedback. We are in discussion with IOS Press to see if we can publish the papers in the Advances in Transdisciplinary Engineering series. We will need to charge a nominal fee for this service.
The option of publishing papers in a special edition of one of the associated journals listed on the conference website https://te2020-warsaw.pw.edu.pl/ also remains open.
Please stay tuned for further details regarding the new format for TE2020 and thank you for your understanding. Of course, you can always contact us if you have any concerns.
